What is excessive sweating?

Excessive sweating, or hyperhidrosis, is a condition where the body produces more sweat than necessary to regulate temperature. It can occur even when you’re not hot, exercising, or stressed. Sweating can affect specific areas like the palms, feet, underarms, or face (focal hyperhidrosis) or occur across the entire body (generalized hyperhidrosis).
