What are Chronic Rib Fractures?

Chronic rib fractures refer to rib fractures that persist over a long period, either due to delayed healing, repeated stress, or underlying health conditions. Unlike acute fractures, which are caused by sudden trauma and heal within a typical 6–8 weeks, chronic rib fractures may continue to cause pain and complications for months or even years.
