What is facial blushing?

Facial blushing is the involuntary reddening of the skin on the face, particularly the cheeks, often triggered by emotions, stress, or certain physical factors. It occurs when blood vessels in the face dilate, increasing blood flow and causing a visible flush of redness.

Facial blushing is generally harmless, but if it occurs frequently or is accompanied by other symptoms, such as pain, swelling, or skin irritation, it’s a good idea to consult a healthcare provider.
